Glasgow Students' Nightline is an award winning student-run listening & information service, operating from 7pm - 7am Sunday-Friday during term time for students of Glasgow, Caledonian and Strathclyde Universities.

Volunteers function as an anonymous listening ear to support students who contact us via telephone and instant messenger to discuss anything that might be on their minds. Volunteers are trained in active listening and do not give advice to callers, but provide empathetic support and information should it be asked for.

This volunteering opportunity provides candidates the opportunity to be trained to deal with a range of situations that may arise from call taking, giving them skills in communication, policy and increasing general confidence and empathetic skills from award winning and nationally leading volunteers

Candidates are subject to a short application and interview followed by training if successful.
