We're a Glasgow based charity helping people moving on from homelessness to tenancy by providing packs of household essentials...

Website Maintenance and Content upgrade (Word Press)

This opportunity takes place between 01 Jul 2024 and 30 Aug 2024 Applications closed on 28 Jun.

Looking for whizz on Wordpress (basic) to help update information on the current website (www.starterpacks.org.uk). We have lots of new details to go on and new pages to add, but we lack tech skills within the organisation to do this. We would love someone to volunteer on a project basis and also add feedback support in an ongoing capacity.

We recently moved our wesbite over to our domain provider and this is built on Wordpress (basic) - we have limited funds as all funding goes towards building packs of essential items for people going into their own home (many from challenging circumstances).

If you are a whizz on Wordpress this will be a very easy fit for you, we are generally in the office (7 Harmony Row,Govan, Glasgow G51 3BB) 9-5 Monday to Friday, and can offer you excellent support and content to upload - not to mention great professional references for your next career move!

We would love if you had an interest or link with Govan and/or understanding of the mission of the charity - though neither of these are essential.

You would be working with the office team, other staff members, volunteers, board members etc and we can provide you brand guidelines etc to assist in any design ideas you have.

Benefits:

Volunteers will be entitled to 25% discount in our retail outlets The Magpie's Eye and The Magpie's Nest and free tickets to any fundraising events we host.

To Apply:

Please send me an email telling us a little about yourself and your experience on Word Press and ideally any projects you have completed with other organisations, a CV would also be useful.
