Referendums

Find out more about referendums, including if any are coming up and how you can get involved.

What are referendums?

Referendums are cross-campus ballots on issues affecting students. All students can vote on these issues. This usually is in the form of a question - if a referendum reaches the threshold (5% of the student body vote), then the outcomes of the vote will be adopted by Strath Union.

Referendums can be called by Student Parliament, or by a secure petition set up by students – petitions can be set up through the Strath Union website, all you need to do is contact us at strathunion.dem@strath.ac.uk and we’ll discuss the process with you.

For more information about this, please feel free to get in touch at strathunion.dem@strath.ac.uk or come and see us in the Voice Office on Level 1 of Strath Union.
