The Strathclyde Climate Emergency Action Group is an activist society dedicated to fighting climate change and environmental destruction within the Strathclyde Campus.
In their time they recieved the STAR Award for best campaign of 2022, as well as being a NUS Scotland 2021 winner. But in December of 2023, the organisation fell into dormancy. And since then, there has been no way for students to organise in terms of climate change. Now, in 2025, the SCEAG is being reformed, with a new aim:
End all fossil fuel investment from Strathclyde University.
If you want to get involved in organising campaigns, spreading information, and changing the world through the student movement, come along to our meetings and socials. You can sign up for a membership below to get email updates on how to get involved, and join our WhatsApp group to chat with other members:

We'll be having socials every couple weeks, as well as an official, formal meeting every week on a T.B.D. date.
Joining the Strathclyde Climate Emergency Action Group means that you can have a direct impact for the climate on your University, by being a part of key decision-making and taking actions to start and drive forward campaigns.
You will be joining a group of like-minded students who are united in their desire for climate action by working towards solutions in an open-forum, democratic community.
Apart from this, there are a number of skills that you can develop from being engaged with the group generally including:
And more... the Strath Union and other external organisations such as People & Planet hold training, and upskilling sessions for SCEAG members to develop these as well.
