Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about taking part in club sport at the University of Strathclyde

 

Q: How much is it to join a sports club?

A: We offer one of the cheapest student sport memberships in Scotland. Please see our membership page for details of pricing.

 

Q: Are there any additional costs?

A: Depending on your choice of sport, some clubs may have additional charges. For example, clubs who train in Strathclyde Sport charge an extra fee per visit for use of the facility. Strathclyde Sport members with valid Gym card can enter for free. Visit the Club Directory for information on extra club charges.

 

Q: Can I join more than one sports club?

A: Yes! Your Sports Union Membership provides to access to all 48 sports club on campus.

 

Q: When and how can I purchase a Sports Union membership?

A: Sports Union membership will be available to purchase online from 1st September. You may purchase you Sports Union membership at any point in the academic year.

 

Q: How do I start a new sports club?

A: Once you’ve joined the Sports Union, visit Sports Clubs A-Z for information on club training, including location, dates and time. Rock up and enjoy.

 

Q: Does my Sports Union membership give me access to the University Gym?

A: No. The Sports Union membership is offered separate to the Strathclyde Sport membership. To join the gym please visit their website.
