This page explains the Active & Engaged initiative, outlining the tiers and badges you can achieve and a tracker showing the current progress of each society.
The Active & Engaged initiative rewards societies who go above and beyond to positively engage with students, Strath Union and the wider community.
Once a society has achieved either a Bronze, Silver or Gold tier, it'll be displayed under the society's name on their webpage. The reasoning behind each tier and the corresponding badges, as well as the criteria to meet and the prizes you can achieve are all set out on this page.
The tiers and badges are designed for societies to earn as you go over the academic year. Once you get a tier or a badge, you keep it for the rest of that year and until the end of Semester 1 the following year.
To apply, click the link at the bottom of this page and submit your evidence.
Submitted applications will be reviewed by the societies team. At the moment, we ask you expect a turnaround time of 1 month from the date of submission.
The table below shows the current progress for each society in achieving Active & Engaged badges. It also has tabs which show progress made by affiliated societies in previous academic years.
