Working with the University of Glasgow's Ukrainian Society we are now accepting donations for the people of Ukraine at the welcome desk (pictured) in the Union. The list of items that can be donated is not exhaustive and any contribution is greatly appreciated. The main items required are as follows;

Last week the Strath President, Benn Rapson issued the following statement;
"Within the last 48 hours, Russia has crossed internationally recognised borders and launched a military assault on Ukraine. This is a deeply troubling and profoundly disturbing development.
Acts of military aggression must never be tolerated in a free and democratic society. As students, we must oppose acts of military force and call for peace. The UK Government and international bodies must support Ukraine and vigorously pursue a diplomatic solution to this crisis.
Strath Union expresses its full solidarity with the Ukrainian people including the students and academics within Ukraine, as well as those within the UK, and those studying at Strathclyde.
I would encourage any students distressed by developments in Ukraine to reach out to our services such as the Advice Hub or ‘Hear to Listen’ for additional support."
