We are Nido Student, and we own places you can live in whilst at university.

Glasgow has been our home for a while now, and it’s fair to say, we’re loving it. Our Nido St James residence is home to 416 students each year, with 80% of those students attending Strathclyde University. We know that convenient locations are important to you, which is why you’ll find Strathclyde University just a 3-minute walk from us.

Rooms to suit all.

Our Nido rooms come in many shapes and sizes, so we’re confident you’ll find a room that’s suitable for you. Our 7-person ensuite apartments allow you to enjoy your own bedroom and private bathroom with the buzzing atmosphere of a shared living room and kitchen. On the other hand, our studio rooms are a great option if you prefer to have your own space, as each studio comes with its very own kitchenette and private bathroom, with plenty of storage available. Spaces that go the extra mile.

Another great thing about Nido St James, is the variety of common spaces available. We’re proud to say that we have six different spaces that we hope you’ll enjoy, including a yoga room, library, gaming room, indoor gym, study room and a private dining room. At all our Nido’s we want to introduce spaces that we know you’ll love and if you’d like to see anything else, just let us know – we’re listening.

Safety first.

We understand that this has been a challenging year for everyone, and because of that we have been focusing on the safety and wellbeing of all our students even more. In response to the pandemic, we also launched our six Nido Commitments, which outline all the new measures we’ve put in place to ensure your safety and wellbeing whilst living with us. A team that cares.

Student wellbeing is something we value very highly at Nido. So, we make sure our on-site staff are available to you whenever you need them. Whether you just want a friendly face to talk to, or require any further support, our house teams are there to point you in the right direction and support you as best they can.

Community spirit.

Our Nido community is waiting for you. We want all the people who live with us to feel like they are part of our resident community. Whether that’s joining in on our virtual events each week or connecting with fellow residents on our Facebook groups.
