The Women in Law Exhibiton was an insightful look into the first women to breakthrough into the legal profession. It was designed to make the information accessible and interesting, including a knitted work representing the first 100 women to qualify.

It also wrote about the first woman to qualify as a lawyer in Scotland, Madge Easton Anderson, in 1920, and the woman who paved the way for her by petitioning to sit the law exams for the Society of Law Agents in 1900, Margaret Howie Strang Hall.

Also highlighted was another important woman in the Legal Profession, our very own Professor Lady Wolffe:

We are so proud to have Prof Wolffe supervising the Mooting Society and immensely lucky to be able to make use of her vast knowledge and experience for our advocacy training. We hope everyone comes along to our training events in October to benefit from this.

Overall this was a highly informative and enlightening experience. We would highly recommend everyone keep an eye out for future events held by the Women in Law Project, which can be found here
