Summer internship (paid in the range £16,403 – £20,709 pro rata) at QAA Scotland: As a fresh approach, we are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic student or recent graduate to support us in the Glasgow office.
Precise projects will depend on current experience but we hope you will have the communication and organisational skills to support our enhancement activities, as well as helping with general duties in our small yet dynamic team.
Prior experience of engaging with enhancement projects in your institution or at sector level, eg with sparqs, is desirable. Prior experience of working in an office environment is an advantage but not essential.
If this sounds like you, please send a two-page note of how your skills and experience could fit the role.
The precise length of the internship is flexible to enable students to return for the start of their term. That said, the minimum period would be for four weeks, and the maximum would be ten weeks.
As this is full-time the intern will be asked to work 35 hours per week max. It’s fairly standard office hours (not anti-social) and there’s an informal flexi time system so start and end times can be agreed with the successful candidate. There will be a contract.
The flexibility is about our willingness to agree these details with the candidates, recognising they may have other pre-existing commitments.
It’s a really good opportunity to gain insight and experience of working in the HE sector.
Deadline 5pm Friday 26 July – early responses welcomed. Enquiries to a.crum@qaa.ac.uk
