Reports To: Head of Marketing and Communications 

Salary: £22,214 (Pro Rata)

Grade: 5.1

Contract Type: Permanent

FTE: 0.6 (21 hours per week)

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute all web SEO, PPC, marketing database, email, social media, display advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Implement the Social Content calendar across the company’s social channels, website and email, working with the Public Relations Administrator, Student Officers and Strath Union Departments to ensure content is co-ordinated effectively.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer to manage the brand management and corporate identity
  • Create coordinate and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against organisational targets and KPI's.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
  • Identify trends and insights, optimising spend and performance based on the insight.
  • Brainstorm new and creative marketing growth strategies.
  • Support the development and implementation of social media strategies across relevant channels, to increase social presence and lead generation for multiple departments.
  • Planning engaging and relevant content and campaigns and working with staff across the organisation to implement these.
  • To provide support across all departments to ensure website content is relevant, up to date and appropriate.
  • To troubleshoot problems for students and staff with regards to social media and the website.

Line Management:

  • Supervise student staff, including students whose time will be apportioned across Digital Marketing and Student Involvement.
  •  
  • Supervise and coach student staff to build their digital marketing skills across all Union channels
  • Co-ordinate Digital Meetups for student staff to meet industry experts.

Other Information:

The role is subject to a 6-month probationary period.

The post-holder will be eligible to join the LGPS Scheme (currently 29.5% employer contribution/5.6% employee contribution).

The post may include occasional evening and weekend work.

31 days’ annual leave per year, plus 11 public/bank/local holidays pro-rata where applicable.
