Catering Assistant

Pay: £25,742 (pro-rated to £18,974 for 9 month contract)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - daytime (occasional evenings and weekends) Term time only.

Reports to: Head Chef

Role responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook dishes for a fast-paced kitchen

2. Monitor stocking of food to ensure adequate stock is maintained

3. Assist in the making of soup and sandwiches

4. Undertake cleaning duties daily to a high standard

5. Oversee the preparation of food and ensure quality of product served

6. Attend training courses as required

7. Establish effective and positive communication amongst all team members

Person Specification

Essential Experience & Skills

• Experience working in the food or hospitality industry
• Have basic food hygiene knowledge
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen
