What is Golf It!?

The R&A’s purpose is to make golf more accessible, appealing and inclusive and to ensure it is thriving 50 years from now and Golf It! plays a huge part of that ambition.  Golf It! is The R&A’s first golf facility which will open in Glasgow in Summer 2023 and will create a new “pathway to golf” that is open and accessible focusing on delivering fun and being community and family orientated. The venue, located in the north east of Glasgow, will attract a new audience to the game, and make people challenge everything they thought they knew about golf, inspiring future generations to say ‘I love playing golf’”.

Golf It! will be accessible to people from all walks of life . It will have a 9 Hole Golf Course, a 52 Bay two-tiered Driving Range, 3 Adventure Golf Courses, Park Golf, Simulators and many more activities. There will be a street food outlet, provided by Big Feed Street Food an onsite Nursery operated by Lullaby Lane and three Padel Tennis Courts operated by Game4Padel. Coaching facilities include Toptracer technology in every bay of the Driving Range, as well as Trackman in our Golf It! simulator.

We are looking for highly motivated and passionate people who are great at communicating with all types of people and have a real flair and understanding of what great customer service is all about. The Trailblazers will serve as the first point of contact for all Golf It! guests in person, via email or telephone and will staff the Golf It! reception area. They will also set-up, run and close down all golf activities across the golf course, driving range, adventure golf and park golf; ensuring that an excellent and timely service is provided to all customers in line with Golf It! values.

Job Purpose

To provide excellent customer service to all clients and guests to the Golf it facility ensuring to build and retain meaningful relationships for new and existing clients alike. Work with the wider Trailblazing team to meet and greet all of Golf It! Clients and guests creating an exemplary customer experience; cover the reception area; manage all golf facility bookings; and set-up, run and close down all golf activities across the golf course, driving range, adventure golf and park golf; striving for operational excellence at all times, in line with the Golf It! Values.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all Golf It! Customers in person, via email or telephone, responding to and resolving any day to day queries, escalating to the Golf Operations Supervisor when required to ensure a first class customer experience at every touch point and in line with the Golf It! Values.
  • Liaise with customers to manage all Golf It! Activity bookings, assisting with queries and logging all bookings accurately in the booking system, ensuring all bookings information is logged correctly, in line with GDPR, and customers receive all relevant booking information.
  • Work with the wider Trailblazing team to ensure the appropriate set up, running and close down of each of the facility’s activities across the golf course, driving range, adventure golf and park golf, to ensure all activities run to time and customers receive and excellent service in line with the agreed Operations Procedure.
  • Operate driving range equipment in line with the operating procedure as required.
  • Work with the wider Trailblazing team to manage the rental of trollies, buggies and other equipment to customers, ensuring all information is logged accordingly and customer service is provided as per the agreed Operations Procedure.
