We are looking for students who enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment and have great communication and customer service skills or the desire to learn and develop these. We are looking for student staff to work in the following areas:
 
Terrace Bar
Roasters Coffee Shop
Common Ground Coffee Shop
Welcome Desk/Front of House
Student Engagement Team
 
We are a real living wage employer with a current rate of £9.90 per hour and great flexibility to fit in with your studies.

Brief Description of Roles - please note training will be provided for all roles

Bar and Events:

• Serve customers with excellent customer service

• Making cocktails 

• Keep all areas clean and tidy  

• Move stock when and where needed  

• Input into the events programme with ideas and suggestions for student events

• Minimum contracted hours of 8 hours per week during term time

• Must be available for training from 29th August 2022

Coffee Shops:

• Serve customers with excellent customer service

• Prepare food and beverages

• Table service during busy times

• Keep all areas clean 

• Minimum contracted hours of 8 hours per week during term time

• Must be available for training from 29th August 2022

Welcome Desk/Front of House/Admin:

• Being the first point of contact when students/visitors enter the Union

• Ensuring the Union reception area is kept tidy and is welcoming

• Setting up rooms as required for society/external bookings

• Facilities support

• Minimum contracted hours of 8 hours per week during term time

• Must be available for training from 29th August 2022

Student Engagement:

• Project style work supporting the student engagement team

• Admin work covering anything from campaigns to representation to societies and sustainability

• Minimum contracted hours of 10 hours per week during term time

• Must be available for training from 29th August 2022
