Hear to Listen

Hear to Listen is a service that offers informal, friendly, confidential, wellbeing support, in person, and a safe space where students can find someone to talk to, to offload their worries, or be signposted to additional support if needed.

Hear to Listen to you

Hear to Listen is a peer-to-peer wellbeing support service, aimed at connecting students at Strathclyde to form a nurturing community where everyone feels valued and welcomed.

This is not counselling, nor intervention, but simply pastoral support, offering a listening ear to anyone who wants it - even if it’s just to chat because someone is new to Strathclyde and still getting to know people and the campus.

The Listeners

Listeners are student volunteers from diverse backgrounds and years/areas of study, who have chosen to give their time to accompany others. The team volunteer Listeners are on hand for a cup of tea and a chat during their sessions if you're in need of a friendly face and someone to talk to.

The Listeners offer a friendly face and a listening ear and are happy to hear from students about anything. They can also signpost you  to other services as appropriate, especially the Advice Hub, Disability and Wellbeing services, Strath Sport, Learner Development Services, the Library, Chaplaincy, and Strath Union social events, societies and volunteering opportunities.
