About us

We are the IEEE Student Branch, and the joint Student Branch Chapters for the:

The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world's largest technical professional organisation for the advancement of technology. It provides members with technical and career-focussed benefits such as grants, training, publications, and news. We work to source funding, organise local events, inform members of relevant available grants, and to foster a professional network of like-minded individuals.

Our purpose is to organise and deliver the benefits provided by these bodies to you locally here at the University of Strathclyde. We host regular technical talks, professional development events and social meetups. We consist of volunteer students and are always looking for more members to help fully utilise the opportunities made available to us by the societies.
