British Sign Language

Informal and safe space to practice and learn BSL together

Badges explained

About us

Introducing the British Sign Language Society at the University of Strathclyde! 🎉

We are a brand-new society aimed at providing a welcoming space for learners of all abilities to improve their sign language skills. Whether you’re completely new to British Sign Language (BSL) or have some experience, you’re invited to join us!

Our goal is to promote the use and understanding of BSL, not just as a way to communicate with d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, but also to raise awareness across campus. 🌍

We’ll be holding fortnightly practice sessions where we can learn new signs and practise together in a fun, informal environment. It’s a great way to pick up a new skill and meet like-minded people.

Interested? Come check out our socials or drop us an email for more information! 💌

Let’s build an inclusive community—one sign at a time. ✌️
