About the talk: The broad field of Digital Health utilises a range of technologies to help improve and support health care organisation and experiences for individuals. From apps, to wearables to AI driven systems, digital health is changing the landscape of health and care service provision.
The opportunities for computer scientists, software engineers and human computer interaction specialists to work with multidisciplinary teams of psychologists, health care workers, engineers and many others to create and develop digital health solutions are plentiful.
This talk will introduce you to this exciting and innovative field with real-life examples of digital health solutions – and it may even help you consider opportunities to utilise your skills and knowledge in your future career.
Speaker Bio:
Lisa joined the Department of Computer and Information Sciences as a Senior Lecturer in March 2017. Working within the Department's Digital Health and Wellness Group, Lisa is interested in person-centered digital health interventions and working with people across the life course. Her particular interest areas include families with children with complex health care needs, teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer, adults diagnosed with cancer, remote patient monitoring, patient reported outcomes and collaborative / co-design approaches to digital intervention design and development. Lisa has experience of qualitative, mixed-methods and randomised controlled trial research studies.
