100 Santa Sacks Challenge

We're competing against Glasgow Caledonian and Glasgow University to see who can collect the most non-perishable items to donate to the elderly. Get in the festive spirit and join us in the 100 Santa Sacks challenge!

What's occurring?

Drop off items including jars, tins, packets, drinks and toiletries to the collection point between 8am and 6pm on weekdays until 2 December. Check expiry dates and think Christmas! :) The collection will launch on 2 November at 4pm in Recharge.

The food will be collected on 2 December and counted to determine the winner. All the items will then be packed at a Festive Fayre - let us know if you want to come and help out!

Donations for the Santa Sacks challenge will be delivered to the elderly in communities around Glasgow. Research by the Trussell Trust indicates that elderly people are less likely to access foodbanks, so these donations will make a real difference to people. The initiative was started by the Woodside Community Trust in 2015 and is currently managed by the University of Glasgow.
