Hello – my name is Jan, and I am a new postgraduate researcher here at Strathclyde Business School, based in the Hunter Centre. I am hoping to become your PGR Faculty representative, and bring your concerns and comments to the Faculty and University’s leadership.

I will look to establish positive representation channels between your departmental reps, the Doctoral Research Group, and the University at-large.

I am joining Strathclyde from Glasgow University, where I was previously closely engaged in the student union’s business, particularly focussing on connecting students to what felt like remote decisions all-too-often. At Glasgow, I also maintained close relations between the Business School and the student body, engaging students in large-scale University-wide projects. I aim to bring this experience to my role as PGR Faculty Rep.

As an interdisciplinary researcher myself, I hope to contribute to building a stronger interdisciplinary research community here at Strathclyde, as exemplified by the Doctoral Researchers’ Group.
