Hello Everyone,

My Name is Devjyoti Das, and I am a fulltime taught postgraduate student at the University of Strathclyde from the Department of Engineering. I am nominating for the election of Autumn 2022 as the Faculty Representative for Engineering Postgraduate Taught because I would like to represent the opinions of our Taught Students studying in the Engineering Department and help our institution to grow further. As a student myself, I will demonstrate democratic and inclusive views to make sure that each student is compatible with the Faculty of Engineering.

As a Representative, I would aim to provide:
1) Each one of us gain Quality Educational Experience.
2) Every student’s opinion is respected and try to implement it if that opinion is for the development of education and career purposes.
3) Improve course output to enhance more real-life industrial experiences.
4) Make sure that the decision made by the Programme Reps, University staff and the Union reaches and benefits all the taught postgraduate students.

To make sure of my success over my aims for this tenure (2022-2033), I would use my 2 years of leadership experience from my previous multinational (corporate) company and my designation such as President for Student Committee in previous University.

I would be happy to give an opportunity for active feedback and integrated discussions.

I would like to be a voice for the opinions of members of the Engineering Department and work towards enriching your experience to make a positive impact.
