A vote for me is a vote for you!

Hi everyone,

My name is Chisom Sheryl okpala, and I am a postgraduate student in the Humanities and social sciences faculty. I am standing to be elected as the faculty representative in the Strathclyde Student Union because I would like to ensure that the views of all students from our faculty are represented. I am young, experienced, passionate, and consistent.

As your representative on the Strathstudent union, I would aim to ensure:

  1. Increased Student participation in all areas by organising focus groups that will come together to discuss and meet with lecturers.
  2. Mental well-being by organising fun nights and events for faculty members to socialise and participate in activities.
  3. Introduce Interfaculty sports and competitions to promote Physical Wellbeing and Inclusion.
  4. Stand and represent members of faculty on issues relating to education and career options.

To do this efficiently, I will use my experience as Class Rep to establish a platform that will enable communication and give opportunities to inform me of what I can do to improve your experience.

As someone who has built a good rapport with students and lecturers, I intend to stand as a mediator and influence change.

It would be my honour to represent you in the coming year and to impact our university experience positively.

Vote for me to be your faculty rep, If I can come this far alone, how much more can we achieve together. A vote for me is a vote for you!
