Important information and resources for Strath Union elections.
Please contact the Democracy team with questions about the Elections.
Once each semester, we run elections which elect a range of roles. These include the President, Vice Presidents, Faculty Reps, Inclusion Officers, Conference Delegates and others. Details of all roles can be viewed in the role descriptions.
Role Descriptions
When nominations open you can nominate yourself for the positions you are eligible for. There may be some positions you are not eligible for. For example, only PGR students in Engineering can run to be the Faculty Rep Engineering PGR.
You can also self-identify for a number of positions. For example only students who identify as Disabled can run for the Disabled Students' Rep.
If you are interested in running, or want to find out more about the elections, we would recommend that you start with the Candidates Pack, as this has loads of information around the elections, budgets, rules, and more.
